(Your trainer will be an NPC just so you know. Aka Not an actual person but used to make this new feature more fun.)
Hello all, my name is Master Dragen (That's "Dray-Gen") and I will be your combat trainer here.
Anyone who gives me a hard time will find themselves building muscle tone the slow and painful way: Carrying Arena Equipment from one side of the Arena to the other and back again indefinitely!
That said if you all listen and cooperate with me, we will get through this training quick and easily.
1. Only those who have 9 wins or less in the Guild Arena may participate in my combat training course and gain wins that will count towards your # of wins in the Guild Arena. After your 10th win here, there is nothing more I will teach you and you must set out and find yourself a dueling partner.
2. I'm a busy man and I have many students so you each get one training session a day with me. If you want More than one in a day you'll need to be paying for my time. 500 credits per extra training session a day. If you choose to pay for more time, you'll need to make all credits payable to Imvu name Ikachan. All credits received will be used for Festival Tournaments as prize money.
3. You will only get credit for my training sessions if you use the die roller found here in the forum and you must report your win like normal at the Arena Imvu Group.
4. You will fight with wooden swords I provide you, therefore any bonus weapons you have bought for the arena WILL NOT COUNT HERE! (Come now, I can't have everyone destroying my Dummies can I? Do you know how expensive these are!?)
I am much to old to be fighting many students in a day, so I have crafted a special Combat DUMMY that will be taking my place against you.
Don't get too full of yourself now! The dummy may not be able to dodge your well aimed attacks, BUT it has a large swinging arm that will spin around after an attack and knock the breath out of you if you fail to dodge it.
If you miss the dummy (you laugh now but I have seen many trip over their own two feet in battle) I will kick the swinging arm myself and send it around to smack you so be warned and keep your eyes open! Not to worry, I am a skilled healer and after each training session, I will see to it you can return for the next days lesson.
Now that I have everyone's attention (or lost it after my babbling on) I will move onto the actual combat itself.
The concept is really easy, all you have to do is copy text and paste it into a message. That's it!
To begin a new session with me, you must start YOUR OWN THREAD (do not reply to this one!) and copy and paste the following code:
Get Code Here (Updated to be easier to understand when posted)
As you can see, your hp and dummy hp is blank. I will also be testing your knowledge of battle and how well you keep up with the flow of battle.
You will need to subtract damage from both yourself and the dummy and fill in the blanks as you post.
In your last roll, (when the dummy's hp = 0) you do not have to worry about dodging it's last attack. Please make one final reply in your thread that you have won and include your remaining hp.
"I have won against the Dummy with X/20 hp."
Or
"I have lost against the Dummy."
Remember POST WIN HERE
Following this message will be a demonstration of how your combat with the dummy will go as reference.
For those of you who need a refresher on the combat rules, here is a brief summery:
For your attack roll, it MUST be 11 or higher for you to land a hit.
In order to dodge you MUST get a 5 or 6 otherwise you get hit.
